Eric & Grant's Top Ten

With my sons' help, I created this booklet for their father back in 1999, but its sentiments remain true today. Happy Father's Day to the man who made me a happy mother!

What a great collage! I bet he enjoyed that. I think it might be time for a new one next year. You can do them every ten years!

There's just one little problem with that idea...it would require

1) That I remember to take pictures
2) That I actually print the pictures
3) That I have an idea
4) That I use my hundreds of dollars of scrapbooking inventory to actually MAKE a scrapbook

Sounds a little out of my reach.

Seriously, though, that's a great idea to make one every decade! It is one of Steve's favorite gifts he's ever received from us, and this time around, the boys could be more involved!

Lori,
This was very sweet. Uh, maybe your boys could buy Steve a shirt for Father's Day..I'm just sayin'.

That's my hubby! "Oakie" extraordinaire!

Btw, "Oakie" is the CA term for "Hoosier" or "Redneck." It's what the San Francisco people called those less-citified from across the bay in Oakland.

We refer to folks from Oklahoma as Okies and it's not a compliment. My cousins used to say birds flew upside down over Oklahoma cuz it ain't worth ...... on. My cousins are rodeo rancher/cowboys.

That's funny...I never knew "Oakie" (or "Okie") meant anything to anyone outside CA!!

You have rodeo/rancher/cowboy cousins! How cool is that?!

Yeah it's cool their names are Lance, Kent, Andra and Chenille, but we called Chenille Nellie. And whenever I'm around them I start talkin' like I ain't never been no where but the ranch.

They thought Rechelle and I were city slickers because we lived in the big town of Goodland.
