Found this on my desk first thing Tuesday morning:
Christmas Wish List: Eric
"Take the money that you would use to buy me presents and give it to someone in the church who needs it or Aunt Dawnn or Great Grandma. Doesn't matter who, as long as they need it."
Anyone besides me feel convicted and humbled by that request? Wow...

Wow. You must raise them right. :-)
Hmmm...I wish I could take credit, but I am an infinitely selfish person. I have tried to train my children to be otherwise, but my mom and dad tried too...AND set a good example. We'll see.
I think an emotional appeal was made at school by one of his teachers, and he's definitely the kind of kid who would respond to such an appeal...trusting and emotional.
I just hope he stays sensitive and generous...and becomes wise in the way he uses those traits.
That makes me tear up - what an amazing kid!
