Helloooo!

Am I THE ONLY ONE who gives a rip?!!

C'mon Cardinal Nation: take my challenge! Pick your opening day line-up. Pleeeeease. Yes, I AM whining now!

Look, don't be afraid to admit you read my blog by posting your picks. It's O-K...you can't help yourself. No need to hide your addiction anymore...really.
I know you're out there............

OK. The only name I recognize on your list is Pujols. In our house, this makes me an expert on the Cardinals (the boys admittedly do know about the players from school friends).

I do pay attention to the news about the Cardinals on the local news shows, so what do you think about the $15 million contract they signed yesterday? Is the guy (a pitcher, if I remember correctly) really any good?

Okay, first blog post ever. I am not sure how impressed you can be defensively when we are leading all of baseball in errors, but excited none the less.

Schumaker - LF
Ankiel - CF
Pujols - 1B
Glaus - 3B
Duncan - RF
Molina - C
Miles - 2B
Ryan - SS
Wainright - SP

Go Cards. Bring up Rasmus.

I don't give a rip, or did you need me to tell you that?

I'm not sure why you guys include Duncan in your line-ups...that takes us down about 5 notches defensively.

I guess I'm thinking we're decent defensively because, without Duncan, we have some good, YOUNG options in the outfield. It seems that Duncan lacks the basic instincts to be a outfielder. His baubles are SO far off that he looke like I would look out there...and trust me, it's not a pretty sight! I've been impressed though with what I've seen from the young guys.

The infield corners are about as strong as they can be, and it's true that we are not great up the middle. Grant keeps telling me that Izturis is better than he looks right now...we'll see. I don't like Kennedy at all, but I think Miles is solid. I like that you put Brendan Ryan at SS...

Wainwright is probably the best choice for pitching, but, if memory serves me correctly, he lost last year's opening day. You can't lose opening day in STL...you just can't. I think Thompson has fewer "head" issues.

Anyway, I'm glad you stooped below your standard and posted!! Thanks!

Jennifer, consider lucky that you have not yet been infected with the Cardinal fever!

April, if I knew the icon for sticking my tongue out at you, I'd be doing it right now!!
