30 in 30: Cinnamon Toast

Glorified Cinnamon Toast

Slice 8-10 Sister Schubert's Rolls in half.

Immerse each slice in a bowl of melted butter (start with 1/2 c...melt more, if necessary),  then dredge in your favorite cinnamon-sugar mixture, coating both sides completely.

I used the following mixture, which lent an irresistible caramel flavor to these:

3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
2 T. cinnamon (or to your preferred taste)

Place on a baking sheet.  Bake at 350 degrees for 7-8 minutes, then broil on high for an additional 2-3 minutes until edges begin to brown.

Remove from pan immediately to cool on rack.  Bread may be slightly soft, even a bit soggy, when you remove it from the pan, but will become wonderfully crisp as it cools.

Warning: Highly addictive.

Sounds yummy! I'd never heard of these, but it looks like my local grocery store carries them. Can't wait to try this.
